Overview

This neighborhood was in trouble. With increased wildfire risks, their insurance company was going to drop their home-insurance coverage if they did not take action to protect themselves against fire risks. A cedar shake roof is like covering your home in tinder. AMC’s standard 24-Gauge metal is Class-A fire resistant as well as class 4 impact resistant. As of Fall 2025, AMC has completed over a dozen metal roof replacements across Wildhorse at Prospect.

Unique attributes

On paper there were three different models of homes. However, in the past 25 years some homes have built unique additions, and the original framers had their own unique take on each home. Today, there are six different styles of homes with every home requiring a unique take-sheet for roof measurements. Some houses have differences as little as three inches from its “identical” neighbor.
